College Introduction

       As part of the process of our national movement towards an informational society in the 21st century, the requirements for cultivating digital innovations and the development digital cultural and creative industries became a part of the national policy.  In cooperation with this policy, as well as fulfilling the demands of R&D, content creation and professional management talents in the information and digital content creation industries, the Kainan School of Management was renamed as the Kainan University in 2006, at which time the School of Informatics was also established.

       Under the School of Informatics, there are the Department of Information Management (including the Bachelor's and Master's programs) and the Department of Digital Multimedia Design

(Including the Bachelor of Evening Studies), the Department of Information Communication, and the Department of Film and Creative Media.

       In addition, in order to implement the concept of lifelong learning, the school has also established the "in-service master program of the School of Informatics".

   Educational goals

Cultivate crossover talents with abilities in the field of information technology, as well as in the field of film and television communication for creative production and operation management.

The teaching focuses on the application and management of information technology, and the creation and dissemination of film and television media.

Also cultivate students' values ​​of lifelong learning as a response to the trend of globalization in the information and new media age.
